We are fundraising to support victims of the Camp Fire

California Vocations is a nonprofit organization providing residential and day program support to developmentally disabled adults. When the Camp Fire swept through the Town of Paradise, our entire community suffered great loses as > 90% of the community lost their homes and jobs. At California Vocations we lost most of infrastructure, including all our offices, and most of our client housing, vehicles, and equipment. The sliver lining to this terrible disaster is that we were able to get all our clients and staff out safety. Although the last 2 months have been chaotic and stressful, the CalVoc family has been working tirelessly to secure housing for our clients and employees, get our day programs running, and provide furniture and clothing in a tireless effort to get back a version of normalcy.

We did receive an insurance payout which we have used to purchase client housing throughout the tri-county area, as rebuilding in Paradise is not an option at this time. Unfortunately, insurance did not cover all losses and there is still a great need for financial support to replace staff, offices, vehicles, and equipment (i.e. support pads, sensory tubs, desktop computers, projectors, screen etc.). All the many things that support our clients and day programs beyond our client's basic needs. Your generosity and financial gifts hold our services and programs together and we are truly thankful for all your support.
